Growing up in semi-rural India, Dr. Debankur Sanyal was always curious about nature and physical environments. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in agriculture with a ‘University Merit Scholarship’, he received a National Fellowship to pursue his master’s degree in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry as a ‘Junior Research Fellow (JRF)’ at Punjab Agricultural University.

Amrik Samadder, a postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) with more than 9 years of professional corporate experience in business development, is now a distinguished business professional who has become an integral part of our team. Amrik Samadder has a wealth of experience and expertise on various carbon neutralisation projects over the last two years, like mangrove plantations, efficient cook stoves, sliver fisheries, etc.

Being born and brought up in Kurseong in the district of Darjeeling & attending school, situated within the reserved forest, curiosity and love of nature & the environment must have been inculcated at a very young age within me. After graduating with a major in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry and followed by a degree in Engineering, I have always strived to use my knowledge gained at the educational institutions to make a positive change in the field of conservation of our environment. From small projects at home & then implementing these projects at a macro level, the practical experience gained has been in demand with organisations trying to replicate my projects for the purpose of carbon neutralisation.
